We are not always online, but we expect our telephones to work all the time. IPage Telecom is an Internet telephony service that works all the time, whether you are online or offline, on laptop or the mobile, travelling or at home. IPage Telecom's services are either for free or very nominally charged. IPage Telecom provides 24 hour customer support, even to the free users.
What's IPage Telecom ID?
IPage Telecom ID is your own 7-digit number. It is Free. The IPage Telecom ID is a number so that your folks can dial you from their regular phones. When you choose your own IPage Telecom ID, take a seven digit number that you can remember well (like your date of birth, last digits of your mobile phone, etc.)
What's VMS?
VMS is a recorded message of 20 seconds max. When you are unable to take calls, the callers are prompted to leave a VMS for you. Unlike regular voicemail, you can also send a VMS to any phone, another IPage Telecom ID or an email. When someone receives a VMS, they are also prompted to send a reply (if any) without any additional cost. VMS to other IPage Telecom IDs and emails are free. How does it work with regular phones?
You can pass on the numbers of access lines to your callers. They call the access line and on prompt punch in your IPage Telecom 7-digit ID, your dialer will ring.
What's a Direct Number?
A direct number costs one dollar per month. It is a regular phone number (these are available in that callers can dial and it will ring your dialer. Numbers in more countries will be added in the future.
What actually happens when someone calls me on IPage Telecom?
You could be logged in from multiple devices at once (like IPage Telecom dialer on your laptop, a SIP device at home and from your mobile dialer too). If you have (optionally) enabled call forwarding, your regular phone will also ring. The call will ring on all of them for 15 seconds. If you pick it up, other phones will stop ringing. Does IPage Telecom support SIP?
Yes, IPage Telecom supports SIP. Use your 7-digit ID and password with 'IPage Telecom.com' as the SIP server name to login using any SIP device/client.
What's Free?
All calls to other IPage Telecom IDs are free.
Incoming calls from other IPage Telecom IDs are free.
Incoming calls from regular phones are free.
VMS to other IPage Telecom IDs and email addresses are free.
All incoming VMSs are free.
What's paid?
As a general rule, we only charge when we have make outbound calls to regular phones (as they in turn cost us money).
